What is CBD?

What is CBD Oil?

CBD Oil is Cannabis Oil that has a significant content of Cannabidiol.

It is made from the flowers of hemp & can be taken with a pipette (by adding a few drops under the tongue).

How CBD Works?

The discovery of the endocannabinoid system (ECS) spurred a breakthrough of understanding about CBD. The ECS relates to the body’s complex network of neurotransmitters and special receptors sites found in the brain, central nervous system, peripheral nervous system and the gut. The endocannabinoid system was only discovered in the 1990s. It has a crucial function, which is to seek homeostasis & balance for our body & mind.

Almost every biological function is regulated by the endocannabinoid system; everything from sleep, appetite, pain, our immune system, reproduction and mood. Endocannabinoid deficiency is linked to many 21st century health conditions.

CBD seems to inhibit the enzyme responsible for breaking down a key endocannabinoid called anandamide. Therefore, by introducing CBD into the system, anandamide stays around for longer in the body, before being metabolised. This is how CBD could have a boosting effect on our ECS.

A regular intake of CBD can support our endocannabinoid system to function optimally.

The use of whole plant extracts in our product is very important to us. The Cannabis Sativa used is grown through organic methods and uses state of the art extraction methods to make the CBD products.

CBD Safety and Legality

There is general agreement that CBD is safe and non-toxic.

A recent World Health Organisation report concluded that Cannabidiol (CBD) has no potential for mis-use, cause any harm, nor does CBD have any side effects.

This is why CBD is not a controlled substance. So if you’re asking yourself the question, “Is CBD oil legal?”, then the answer is a resounding yes. It must be extracted from legally grown and licensed Cannabis Sativa, containing less than 0.2% THC.
